Juventus winger Federico Chiesa hopes to ‘make my mark’ in Turin and says he looks forward to training with Cristiano Ronaldo.
Chiesa moved to the Old Lady ahead of the international break and thanked both his former club Fiorentina and his new club for making the transfer happen.
“I want to thank Fiorentina and the city of Florence for the 14 years where I grew as a person,” he said at a press conference. “I thank Juventus for having wanted me and for bringing me here.

“I thank the Presidents Della Valle and [Rocco] Commisso, as well as the fans. I learned about Juventus for the first time in the last days of the transfer market, I thank them for the economic effort to buy me and take me from Fiorentina to here.
“I’m proud to wear this shirt and to go on the pitch for this prestigious club.
The Italy international expects a big learning curve after moving to the reigning champions.
“We focus on the pitch; vital matches await us both in the League and in the Cup. Since I arrived, everything seems new to me. I have to learn a lot, but I’m very happy.
“The coach makes specific requests and I’m at his complete disposal. We enter the pitch to win every match in every competition.”
Portuguese talisman Cristiano Ronaldo has been ruled out with coronavirus since Chiesa moved to the Allianz Stadium and the young winger looks forward to train with the veteran.
“Training with Cristiano and meeting him will be a joy,” Chiesa said. “I have recently been training with this new mentality and this new disposition.
“With time and hard work, we will achieve great results. I hope to leave my mark here too, but the road is still long, there’s a lot to improve.”
Chiesa said it was ‘a unique feeling’ to play in the Champions League with the Old Lady, after taking part in a 2-0 win against Dynamo Kiev before a 2-0 defeat to Barcelona this week.
“Playing in the Champions League with the Juventus shirt was a unique feeling,” he added. “By working and staying together over the next few weeks, we will surely get the results we deserve.
Next up for the Bianconeri is an away trip to Spezia this weekend and Chiesa said Pirlo’s men need a win.
“We are united and ready to play against Spezia, which will be fundamental. Winning will be important, we will try to impose our game and our ideas with intensity and bring home the three points.”
