Giorgio Chiellini is ready to start his adventure in the MLS after agreeing personal terms with Los Angeles FC.

The 37-year-old Italian centre back is leaving Juventus after 17 years this month and he’s keen for a change of scenery as he enters the twilight of his career. The veteran defender made his last appearance for the Italian national team in the 3-0 Finalissima defeat to Argentina on Wednesday, an emotional moment for the experienced centre half.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Chiellini and his agent Davide Lippi met Los Angeles FC general manager Will Kuntz in London whilst in town for the recent Finalissima clash, and in that meeting an agreement was reached regarding his free transfer to the MLS side. All that’s missing now to complete the move is his signature.

The 37-year-old Italian made 561 appearances across all competitions for Juventus, scoring 36 goals and providing 25 assists. He won 19 major honours with the Bianconeri, including nine Scudetti and five Coppa Italia.
