La Liga president Javier Tebas is on the attack following Kylian Mbappe’s contract renewal with Paris Saint-Germain and he’s included both Manchester City and Juventus in the complaint sent to UEFA.

As detailed by AS, The La Liga president has accused the three European clubs of undermining healthy competition in UEFA competitions to the detriment on Spanish teams, suggesting that they’ve jeopardised the football ecosystem with their irresponsible transfer market moves.

Tebas’ complaint against PSG is fairly obvious; he is confused as to how the French giants managed to renew Mbappe’s contract despite accumulating €700m in losses over the last three seasons.

Manchester City have been denounced by the La Liga president due to their alleged and repeated violations of the Financial Fair Play rules, linked to their sponsorships with companies reportedly linked to the UAE royal family.

Regarding Juventus, Tebas’ attention is focused on the investigation out by the Turin Public Prosecutor’s Office, which focused on the club’s financial management over the last three seasons, and their reported capital gains in particular.

All three clubs have been included in Tebas’ complaint to UEFA and he’s now expecting a response, suggesting that this tale won’t come to an end for a long while yet.

  1. Tebas needs removing. The football world is moving on. Football clubs are big business and as such business people and financiers, sponsors and stakeholders will seek to gain an advantage whenever and however they can. If only his own house were in order.

  2. Spain started this problem.

They tried to bend the rules and used their alternative methods of club ownership to access huge funds to sign and pay players (eg. the Galacticos)

Then the arab nations beat them at their own game using City and PSG

So now the spanish are whining about others because they can’t keep up and are going bankrupt whilst trying.

I don’t understand why they need to drag Juve into this, in my mind they are far from being the worst operators financially, but I know they’re not perfect.

What does annoy me is that Milan got kicked out of Europe when City, PSG, Chelsea, Madrid and Barca are all breaking the rules in full view of everyone and getting away with it.

FFP if biased and a total joke and needs scrapping and starting again.

  3. Maybe someone should ask how Real Madrid have been able to jeopardize the football eco system for decades by signing the best players to the detriment of other European clubs.

  4. Real erecting stages to present players before the other club has accepted their offer…Bale, Modric.. Barca being allowed to sign Braithwaite from a club who eventually got relegated outside the transfer window…signing west brom youth product louie Barry and failing to pay the development fee….rhenium releasing him to join Aston Villa when Barry’s former coach at West Brom joins Villa….look in the mirror man!

  5. Lol pot kettle black here. Real Madrid have outbid and paid over the odds for as long as ive been alive. Now others have more financial clout they don’t like it…comical

  6. Pot calling kettle black. Now the Spanish have been outdone by the Arabs they want to complain. For years Real Madrid and Barcelona stole money through TV right deals from the smaller Spanish clubs now they are divided equally (sort of) and rich Arab clubs are pumping money in clubs in other countries these idiots right a letter of complaint. Sit down and reep the rewards of your own doing you idiots. 🤣

  7. Man City have no links whatsoever with Qatar so where’s that from, plus wasn’t FFP brought it to stop problems like Barcelonas ,no thought not.

  8. Who wrote this article? Needs to do some research. City are part owned by a member of the Abu Dhabi Royal family, not Qatari.

  9. Until a transfer cap is implemented through Europe + tax rules equal for everyone and salary cap, this non-sense won’t end. And La Liga can suck a deeck when the top clubs there created this huge issues first. Give me a f break

  10. 😂 are you kidding me, Real Madrid have been saved countless times by the Spanish government. It’s the definition of a state owned club!! They’ve received billions! How many times has the government bought their training ground or stadium!
