Chelsea are looking to pick up both Wesley Fofana and Denzel Dumfries this summer, wanting both players in Thomas Tuchel’s defence.
The Blues lost both Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger earlier this month to free transfers, forcing them to add some reinforcements to their backline. They’ve already completed a deal for Kalidou Koulibaly and now they’re working on completing two more signings.
As reported by The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Chelsea are in talks for both Fofana and Dumfries, keen to pick up both before the summer transfer window ends. The former is significantly more expensive, with Leicester City wanting around £80-85m, whilst the latter would be cheaper, especially considering Inter’s need to generate funds.
The Blues have already been in close contact with the Nerazzurri this summer, having completed the loan return of Romelu Lukaku. Now the two parties could complete another deal, one that would benefit both parties as the new season rapidly approaches.

Inter is just a selling club. They’re always ready to sell their better players. Milan should should retain the Scudetto. Inter strike me as a club with too many financial problems to be stable at all under their current ownership.
Bellanova at least needs 3 more seasons to be considered in Inter‘s starting11. He has shown talent but I doubt he can replace Dumfries . What is in Marotta’s mind is unknown.
Inter‘s priority should be replacing Ivan PERISIC which they have not done ,they should go for kostic , deluofeo or Carlos Perez , non cost more than 18 million, if DUMFIRES most go ,let him go for 30 to 45 million , his good but Darmian is also good . They need a natural winger to complement Robin gosens .
