Franck Kessie has been increasingly linked with a move to Inter but now Chelsea have emerged for the Barcelona midfielder, reports highlight.

The 26-year-old Ivorian midfielder left Milan last summer to join the Blaugrana on a free transfer, penning a four-year deal, but things haven’t gone particularly to plan in Catalonia. Kessie has struggled for consistent minutes this season, only making two La Liga starts, and has seemingly failed to convince coach Xavi.

As reported by The Telegraph, Chelsea are looking to pick up a midfield reinforcement and have decided that Kessie would be both an accessible and strong option. The Ivorian could likely be signed for around €20-25m and Inter’s hopes for a deal seemingly rested on an exchange involving Marcelo Brozovic.

The Blues have already spent around €143m in this transfer window and are still keen to make a few more signings before it closes shut at the end of the month.

  1. I think that AC Milan, after/IF they manage to renew with Rafa, should swallow their pride and get Kessie back for 10 million! Give him smaller contract (no more than 3, 5 – 4 mil per season), and if he agrees, get him back, cuz his absense is one of the reasons Milan has so many defensive problems this year
And I don’t see who else better can they get for 10 million?!!
