Reports in France suggest Chelsea have beaten Juventus to Leicester City’s N’Golo Kante.
The combative midfielder was a key part of the Foxes side which shocked the world by winning the Premier League under Claudio Ranieri.
It’s thought the French international has a €25m release clause in his contract, which alerted Juventus.
However, Le Parisien is now reporting that Chelsea have taken a decisive step, bidding around €35m to assure they get their man.

Kante is expected to sign a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, and the transfer could also end the Blues’ interest in Roma’s Radja Nainggolan.
The Belgian was also a target for the English side, but Kante can now fulfil the combative role in Antonio Conte’s midfield.
