UEFA and the ECA are reportedly talking about a Plan B for the Champions League, namely a Final Eight tournament in Portugal concluding on August 22.
The plan currently is to complete the tournament in its usual format by finishing the Round of 16 ties that are still midway through, then the other home and away fixtures.
That would run from approximately August 4 to 29.
According to Mundo Deportivo, there is a Plan B being discussed by UEFA’s Executive Committee and the European Club Association, whose President is Juventus chief Andrea Agnelli.

It would be a way of condensing the matches into a Final Eight competition, made up of one-off games decided on the night in extra time or after penalties.
It’d not only allow the clubs to reduce the number of games, but also minimise travel during a pandemic.
Istanbul had been due to host the Champions League Final, but security concerns could see it moved.
Mundo Deportivo suggest Portugal and specifically Lisbon would be the ideal host, as this country has been relatively unaffected by COVID-19.
Their stadiums are also very new after hosting Euro 2004, while there would be no home advantage, as all the Portuguese clubs have already been eliminated from the Champions League.
Germany had also been mentioned as a potential host, but Portugal would resolve those other issues.
