Sampdoria could bring free agent Fernando Tissone back to Serie A after Edgar Barreto terminated his contract early.

The Blucerchiati are a man short in midfield, as Barreto left Samp after five years due to personal reasons a few weeks before his deal was set to expire.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, among the contenders to replace him is Tissone, who will turn 34 next month.

It would be a return to Marassi for the Argentine, because he already wore the Samp jersey from 2009 to 2013, albeit with some loan spells too.
