With less than 10 days left in the summer transfer window, Inter have three options remaining in their search for a centre back: Trevoh Chalobah, Francesco Acerbi and Manuel Akanji.

Gianluca Di Marzio details how the Nerazzurri met with agent Federico Pastorello this evening to further discuss a possible deal for Acerbi and now they’re in a position to close out a deal when they’d like, although the Italian veteran is not their priority.

Inter are most interested in Chelsea’s Chalobah and they’re currently exploring the feasibility of a possible loan deal. The club are also keeping Borussia Dortmund’s Manuel Akanji in mind and a deal is possible there too, but no final decision has been made.

The Nerazzurri are not planning to rush as the transfer window starts to draw to a close, but instead will carefully consider their options, possibly waiting until the last few days before making a decision. Updates are expected at some point later this week, but a move may not arrive until next week.
