Former Cagliari owner Massimo Cellino has denied he’ll sell Leeds United in a bizarre Press conference.

The former Isolani patron was initially barred from owning the club, but has been allowed to become chairman of the Elland Road side once again, and held a Press conference today.

"If in two seasons' time I'm not ready to take the club to the Premier League, I'm going to sell it,” Cellino told the assembled media.

“The club is not for sale, [but] if we are not ready to be in the Premier League, I will sell it.

“To sell the club you need six months to do due diligence. What would we do for six months if I was selling the club?”

Cellino then bizarrely left the Press room for a cigarette break, and accused journalists of being “agents” for manager Neil Redfearn when asked about the his future.

In his time at Cagliari, the entrepreneur earned the nickname ‘Il mangia-allenatori’ or “the manager-eater” after getting through 36 different Coaches in his 22 years, and pointedly refused to back Redfearn.

“I don't need to justify my decision. I need to choose the best Coach for this club.

“Is Neil best for the future? Are you sure that he's good or is it that you're a coward with the fans because you won't change it?"
