Now the Daily Mail reports that the Lupi are ready to test the English club’s resolve with a €9m bid in January.

The Czech international has been relegated to a backup role at Stamford Bridge by the arrival of Thibaut Courtois, playing just 66 minutes of Premier League football this season, and despite Blues Manager Jose Mourinho insisting the club has received no offers, the newspaper believes Cech would be open to a move to Rome.

The Mail states that Roma will decide whether or not to make a bid once the club’s Champions League fate has been decided by a crunch match with Manchester City next week.

According to the paper, Cech is not the only Premier League target in Roma’s sights, with Tottenham Hotspur defender Vlad Chiriches also of interest to the Giallorossi.
