Napoli Coach Walter Mazzarri plans to welcome Edinson Cavani back into the fold ahead of Thursday's trip to Liverpool in the Europa League.

Mazzarri rested the Uruguay international striker at the weekend and didn't pay for doing so, as Napoli beat Brescia 1-0 in Serie A.

Cavani is Napoli's top scorer this season with nine goals, but there is a fear that he might burn out, especially after having had so little time off following Uruguay's run in the World Cup.

La Gazzetta dello Sport understands the 23-year-old will once again be the focal point of Napoli's attack with Ezequiel Lavezzi and Marek Hamsik playing just behind him.

Mazzarri will keep faith with Walter Gargano and Michele Pazienza in midfield, while his three-man defence is likely to be made up of Hugo Campagnaro, Salvatore Aronica and Paolo Cannavaro.
