Former striker Antonio Cassano shared his frustrations and unhappiness with Juventus after their Europa League semi-final loss to Sevilla, suggesting they ‘looked like sh*t’.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side did not impress in their Europa League semi-final tie with the Spanish side, barely scarping a 1-1 draw in the first leg after a 97th minute goal from Federico Gatti before suffering a 2-1 loss to the return clash after a 95th minute goal by Erik Lamela.

Juventus’ elimination from the Europa League is a bitter blow for Allegri and his players, who now have nothing to play for in the final stages of this season. The looming risk of a further points deduction also could invalidate their fight for a top four finish, leaving the club in a tough position ahead of next campaign.

Speaking on his Instagram page, Cassano analysed Juventus’ Europa League semi-final loss to Sevilla, pointing the finger of blame at coach Allegri.

“The Andalusians deservedly passed the round, the team that deserved more with a good game, and knowing how to come out well with the ball in difficulties, went to the final. It was a game played by a Spanish team, yesterday the game from start to finish was played by one team which is Sevilla.

“Then Juventus had two counter attacks, two chances on set pieces, then they scored and closed off. Juve are always like that, they go to the Champions League and look like sh*t, they go to the Europa League and the same thing happens.

“This is the consequence. He who sows the wind reaps the storm. And this year they win nothing. Now Allegri to unload the sh*t on others, bringing up the difficulties, but what difficulties? In two years, they haven’t played a decent game, they’ve looked like sh*t and they’ve gone out of the Europa League. “
