Antonio Cassano appealed to Cesare Prandelli for a World Cup spot and scoffed at Milan’s current problems.

FantAntonio bagged a brace in today’s 4-2 victory at San Siro, which kept Parma in sixth place and extended their unbeaten run to a club record 16.

“It’s a wonderful moment, but the team is doing something extraordinary. I had great moments at Sampdoria” data-scaytid=”6″>Sampdoria, but they are equally wonderful here,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“We're unbeaten in 16 and I think we can do even better.”

Cassano was asked whether Prandelli ought to consider him for a trip to Brazil.

“I swear I’d love to go, as I’ve never been to a World Cup, and I’m doing everything I can to make the Coach’s decision difficult. I don’t know what my chances are, but I really hope and am keeping my fingers crossed.”

There was a Milan ultras protest against the club and team today, but Cassano had little sympathy when asked what he thought about the situation.

“I am an Interista, I’m proud to be an Interista and I don’t give a damn about the rest.”
