The Italian has been offered by his current club to the Stadio Tardini outfit, along with Matias Silvestre, in return for Ishak Belfodil.

“There was a meeting yesterday in the offices of Parma,” representative Beppe Bozzo told Sport Italia. “There is great optimism around the negotiations.

“In order to see Cassano in Gialloblu there really are only a few details to iron out.”

The forward, who will turn 31 next month, only joined the Nerazzurri last summer from city rivals Milan.

The fantasista, who hasn’t played for his country since the Final of Euro 2012, is heading back to the provinces.

Cassano started his career with hometown club Bari, before moves to Roma and Real Madrid. He then joined Sampdoria” data-scaytid=”18″>Sampdoria in 2007 before a 2011 switch to Milan.

The forward scored eight goals in 28 League games for the Beneamata in 2012-13.
