The Butei will receive a higher payment if both Frosinone and Carpi are demoted, as both are in their first Serie A season.
As Palermo have spent three of the last four seasons in the top-flight, they would be entitled to a greater share of the pot, penalising Verona.
“Carpi FC 1909 announces that it has sent an official note to the Federal Prosecutor’s office, summarising the events that accompany the last day of Serie A, with a request to monitor developments in the Palermo-Verona match very carefully,” a statement on the Biancorossi’s official website begins.
“Such an initiative is aimed at preventing any form of conditioning, even outside or simply psychological, for the protagonists of the last Serie A matchday as well as ensuring the maintenance of the regularity of the competition, in the hope that all games are played with the same competitive spirit and loyalty which has characterised the entire campaign.”
