The Biancorossi have managed to climb out of the relegation zone, but face a daunting trip to San Siro on Thursday night.

“We come into the game focused and in good form,” Castori noted in his pre-match Press conference.

“We’re aiming to get a result, you can never take anything for granted in football, positively or negatively.

“Tomorrow we’ll be facing a strong team which needs no introduction, but we’ll be focused and play the Carpi way.

“That means running and fighting for every ball. We know there are stronger teams than us, but using our weapons we can get a result against anyone.”

Carpi’s relegation rivals will play tonight, is that a disadvantage?

“Playing before or after our competitors for safety doesn’t change much, because we’re facing a big team like Milan.

“Sure, it’d be better to play at the same time, but I accept the Lega’s decision. Milan have their own identity which is independent from the opponent they’re facing.

“It’s up to us to have the belief that we can get a result and go onto the pitch with the right attitude.”
