“I had five years at Roma,” Capello reflected in an interview with Radio Anch’io Sport.

“What’s happening demonstrates how difficult it is to win in Rome. The fans are wonderful, but it doesn’t take much for them to praise you, or to throw you under the bus.

“The Italian League has improved this season, there’s great attention on the technical and tactical level, but when I see the gap between Juve and the others I think it’s too much.

“It’s hard to beat Juventus in Italy, they’ve become aware of their own strength and reached a maturity which they didn’t have, Allegri has managed to give them something extra.

“They could progress in the Champions League, even if [Paul] Pogba is a big miss.”
