“I don’t like Conte and if they have to bring in a new Coach then I’d prefer Spalletti,” said Candela of the Italy boss.

“As a Romanista I would not like to see Conte on the bench. Just because he won three consecutive titles at Juventus doesn’t mean he’ll win at Roma, as that would be too easy. Everyone can win at Juve.
“I am very fond of Spalletti, above all as a person even more than as a Coach.
“This is a delicate moment, but it is right to keep going with Garcia because he knows his own defects and those of the team.
“Hopefully something has changed so we can see better results, but they are only four points off the top and the Scudetto dream can still come true.”
