Walter Mazzarri’s side go into their weekend meeting with Milan 13 points and five places behind them in the League after an indifferent season was only made worse by a poor start to 2012.

The team have dropped nine points in their last four games, with three of those encounters being against relegation candidates.

Despite the poor recent run, Campagnaro does not see a dressing room on the brink of collapse.

“We know we’ve dropped some points in the League, but the team is healthy. Beyond the results, the team has fought in every game.

“For sure the Champions League run has taken energy out of us, but I’m certain that the fans are happy to have progressed from a group that difficult and exhilarating.

“We had in our group two candidates to make the final in Bayern Munich and Manchester City and we were able to eliminate City.

“This is a phenomenal achievement that will stay with us forever. Now we will focus on an intense month. We are playing every three days, but we have earned this chance to fight on three fronts…”

The club face playing seven matches in the month of February, including the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final against Siena.

“For us it is an objective of great prestige. We will address it with the greatest effort because it would be great to play in a final.

“We have a united, strong group, who in recent years have done something exceptional.

“It would give us joy to be able to lift a trophy. Naples deserves it, this team deserve it and so do the fans who follow us with such passion.”
