Jose Maria Callejon has insisted that Napoli will fight until the very last moment to get into second place this season.

The Partenopei are currently third in the table, six points behind Roma. However, the Spaniard has claimed that his men will give their all to automatically qualify for next season’s Champions League.

“We believe in second and we will do all we can to get it,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“The Champions League is an important objective for us and we want to get there automatically.

“Scudetto? Juve are very strong – but next season we’ll fight with them, there’s no doubt about that.”

The former Real Madrid man then commented on his first season with the Stadio San Paolo outfit.

“I feel good here. We’re doing very well and the Coach is giving me a lot of confidence. I’m going to keep on working, and if I get a call from the national team, then that would be great.”

Callejon concluded by remarking on rumours that Javier Mascherano could join from Barcelona.

“He’s definitely a great player. I hope he comes here next year.”
