Davide Calabria is rested against Torino this evening, but the Milan captain hits back at some ‘nasty’ reports about problems in the locker room.

It kicks off at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in San Siro at 19.45 GMT.

The Rossoneri are without a Serie A victory in five rounds, losing three on the bounce, as well as going out of the Coppa Italia and losing the Supercoppa Italiana 3-0 to rivals Inter.

This sparked rumours online among fans of problems within the squad, including the image of six players pointing and shouting at goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu during the Derby della Madonnina.

“Sometimes I am genuinely amazed by the creativity of the nastiness that some human beings can create,” Calabria told Milan TV.

“I wanted to draw a line under this unpleasant situation and all these daft ideas about our locker room, because we are all united and solid for tonight’s game.”

Something has evidently gone very wrong within the reigning Champions of Italy in 2023, as since the 2-2 draw with Roma in stoppages, it has been all downhill.

“We must get back to believing in our capabilities. Milan always needs to win and we must have the strength to do that tonight.”

Milan have already lost twice to Toro this season, 2-1 in Serie A and 1-0 in extra time in the Coppa Italia Round of 16.

“Torino are a very troublesome team to play against. There are going to be a lot of duels and whoever has the strength to win more of those will win the game.”
