Cagliari’s sporting director confirms they’ve “thought of” Milan’s Gustavo Gomez, but rules out Manuel Locatelli.
The Isolani have been linked with both players, and the director was quizzed over whether he’s spoken to new Rossoneri general manager Leonardo about them.
“Not yet, Leonardo has just got there and we need to find the right time to evaluate everything calmly,” Marcello Carli told calciomercato.com.

“We’ve thought about Gomez, he’s a player who could suit us. He hasn’t found space at Milan, but he could do well for us.
“As for Locatelli, I don’t think Milan want to sell him. We like the player but I don’t think he’ll come to Cagliari.”
