Reports earlier today suggested that the businessman’s takeover of the Sardinian outfit from Massimo Cellino had fallen through, with the new Leeds United owner having criticised the Rossoblu’s perspective buyer.
However, Silvestrone has now told Ansa that a deal to acquire the club is very much alive and still on the table.
“Our financial representatives involved in the deal were just waiting for the opinions of the Provincial Commission,” Silvestrone said.
“We are in the final stages, we are ready to close the deal.”
