Gianluigi Buffon revealed he will take his time and choose ‘a path where I can find motivation’ after leaving Juventus. ‘I’m in no hurry to find a solution’.

The 43-year-old announced he will leave Juventus this summer but could continue his playing career if the right offer arrives.

Buffon first arrived at the Old Lady 20 years ago, when he moved from Parma in July 2001 and returned from a one-year stint at Paris Saint Germain in 2019.

The World Cup winner has played a back-up role behind Wojciech Szczesny in the last two years, but leaves the club with 10 Scudetti, five Coppa Italia and six Supercoppa Italiana.

But the veteran shot stopper revealed he will be thorough when he decides his next destination and wants to avoid a ‘risky step’.

“I will decide a path where I can find motivation,” Buffon said at ‘La Partita del Cuore’, according to TMW. “I’m in no hurry to find a solution immediately.

“I gave everything and took everything at Juve, I said something thoughtful, but there are moments when we need to take a step back rather than take a risky step forward.

“It was the right ending. I have good memories from the past years, it’s a context that welcomed me as a boy and made me become a man. I owe a lot of what I did to Juve.”
