Gianluigi Buffon's agent has left the door open for a move to Arsenal, but insisted “there has been no contact from the Manchester clubs.”

The goalkeeper is set to renegotiate his contract with Juventus, which expires in June 2013, and is thought to be one of the big names on the market to help rejuvenate the side.

“Will he stay at Juventus? I don't know, we will have to evaluate things with the club,” Silvano Martina told Goal.com.

“What we do know is that he still has a two-year deal there.”

Among the sides the Italy shot-stopper has been linked to are both Manchester City and United.

"As for Manchester City I don't believe so as they have the England national goalkeeper, Joe Hart, and I know Roberto Mancini is happy with him. Therefore there is no possibility.

"For Manchester United, they recently signed a goalkeeper for the future and so I don't think they are looking,” continued the agent.

"In any case, we have not had contact from the Manchester-based clubs."

Buffon has also been linked with another Premier League side, Arsenal, and was more open to this alternative.

“There are no contacts with Arsenal. I know that they need a goalkeeper, and of course they are a very important club, but I have not had any contacts."

In Italy, there are also reports that the new Roma owner, Thomas Di Benedetto, will target Buffon in the summer.
