The Portuguese giants are 2-1 up after the first leg at the Estadio do Dragao two weeks ago and their former captain Bruno Alves believes they can continue to compete with the Bianconeri in the Champions League.

“Porto are a very competitive team,” Bruno Alves told O Jogo. “They have the quality to have their say on any pitch.

“It will be difficult, Juve are strong and have the best player in the world. But in general, they have a lot of quality, in all departments.

“Porto have excellent players like [Mehdi] Taremi, but also [Jesus] Corona and Pepe.

“It’s difficult to play the same game twice. But if Porto play with the same attitude and ambition, they can get a positive result.”

Bruno Alves believes the match will be ‘very intense’ despite the lack of fans in the stands.

“Everything is different, but it will still be a very intense game,” he said. “Juve will try to recover and Porto must play with their qualities.

“On the other hand, there’s Cristiano Ronaldo and the Champions League is a competition that gives him further motivation.

“Juve will attack and look for a goal, it will be difficult for Porto to slow down the game. It will be a match that must be played until the end, with no breaks."
