Cristian Brocchi’s agent says his client “couldn’t say no” to Milan and club President Silvio Berlusconi.

The former midfielder was today confirmed as the new Rossoneri Coach, following the dismissal of Sinisa Mihajlovic, and his representative spoke to MilanNews about the appointment.

“I’m very happy for Cristian, it’ll be a great adventure for him,” Davide Lippi said.

“When he got the call from Milan and Berlusconi he couldn’t say no. It’s an important experience for Cristian early in his career, it’s a great opportunity for him and he’ll play to the end, giving everything and putting in all he’s got.

“It’s an adventure. He was signed with Milan, he was in charge of the Primavera and now he’s been called to replace the Coach of the first team.

“There are pros and cons in his job, everyone knows that, but he’s very happy and excited.

“He has his feet on the ground, he knows there’s so much to do. It’ll be tough, but that doesn’t scare him.”
