Bologna have reportedly set their sights on Michy Batshuayi and are ready to compete with Nottingham Forest for the Fenerbahce striker.

The 29-year-old forward joined the Turkish side from Chelsea last summer for around €3.5m and impressed in his debut season, scoring 20 goals and providing two assists in 32 total appearances.

Nottingham Forest are working on picking up some late reinforcements and reports suggest that they sent in a €4m verbal offer to Fenerbahce for Batshuayi, which is far below the Belgian’s €10m price tag.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport via TMW, Bologna are now interested in fighting with Nottingham Forest for Batshuayi and could submit a loan offer with a buy option attached in the coming days.

Things won’t be easy for Thiago Motta’s side, however, as the 29-year-old’s high salary could prove problematic.

Batshuayi has already started the 2023-24 season well with Fenerbahce, scoring two goals and providing one assist in five Conference League qualifiers.
