Bologna were flattened 4-1 in a pre-season friendly in the Netherlands by FC Twente, on the debut of new signing Andrea Cambiaso.
The Rossoblu gave a start to Cambiaso, the former Genoa full-back who is now on loan from Juventus, and he played for 63 minutes.
However, Twente broke the deadlock within 120 seconds of kick-off thanks to Daan Rots.
Joshua Brenet and then Michel Vlap consolidated their lead, with Adama Soumaoro snatching one back for Bologna on the stroke of half-time.
Gijs Smal completed the rout after the restart.
