According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Inter hope to extend with Ivan Perisic, but have already targeted Andrea Cambiaso and Federico Bernardeschi if the Croatia international leaves.

Perisic sees his Inter contract expire in the summer and talks with the Nerazzurri are ongoing. The 33-year-old had requested a €6m-a-year deal, which was not affordable for the Nerazzurri but hasn’t received a similar offer from any other club in Europe.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, he has requested a new two-year contract, while Inter are open to offering a one-year deal with an option to extend for a further campaign. Talks between the two parties are still ongoing, but Inter are preparing for Perisic’s possible departure.

Genoa‘s Cambiaso and Juventus‘ Bernardeschi are seen as possible options for the Serie A champions who signed Robin Gosens from Atalanta in January.

Cambiaso, a U21 Italy international, is a long-time target of the Nerazzurri, while Bernardeschi was signed by Beppe Marotta at Juventus in 2017 and is now available as a free agent as he’s unlikely to extend his expiring contract with the Old Lady, who has offered him a pay cut.

  1. perisic is useless, why oh why do the top clubs insist with these past it foregin players, the clubs are beyond a joke, they do all they can to NOT produce young italians, Crap league, crap managers who are weak and chicken and crap donut club owners its always the same “oh mamma mia i stranieri sono i migliori facciamo una sega” wake up serie a!

  2. Whoever thinks Perisic is useless hasn’t watched any of Inter‘s games this season. He has been one of their best, most consistent players, both in attack and defence. Saying that, I do not disagree that Italian clubs need a stronger focus on Italian players. Milan v Bologna had 2 Italians in the starting 22. Disgraceful.

  3. If you think Perisic is useless you know nothing about football. He is levels above Dimarco and the replacements being mentioned. And this is coming from a Juve fan

  4. Fair play useless is a bit over the top I must admit. DiMarco isn’t a bad option but sadly when Italians have a run of bad games they don’t play again when people like Lautaro who has been crap for ages plays every game… Dimarco started off quite well for inter this season but has been on the bench ever since… Bernardeschi? Nah no thanks he just hasn’t done much for years now sadly, Cambiaso is a good young option but to get the best out of youth they need to make errors also, enough foreign players play badly week in week out and they still play all the time so why can’t we put faith In our youth? Nah it’s not good enough anymore and it’s become way too obvious. Dennis isn’t happy
