The President, and Prime Minister of Italy, had declared over the past few days that he was seriously considering an offer for Real Madrid star Ronaldo.
There were many reports suggesting Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Alexandre Pato could be used as part of an exchange deal.
“Do you know how much money I've put into this club?” Berlusconi told students during a meet-and-greet in Pavia.
