Domenico Berardi is delighted with what his goal at Roma meant for Sassuolo and Juventus – the club who co-own him.

The 19-year-old netted a late equaliser in the 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olimpico which allowed the Old Lady, who then beat Napoli, to move just one point behind the capital League leaders.

“I’m happy with the strike, that is obvious, but I’m especially delighted with how we played as a team,” the wide attacker noted.

“We believed right up until the end and we got a good result. We created a lot of opportunities and we were rewarded for our efforts.

“We try to give everyone a game, no matter who they are, as that is the only way we can survive.

“A goal for Juventus? Yes, I know I’ve done them a favour. That’s also pleasing.”

The Turin giants signed 50 per cent of the player on transfer deadline day for €4.5m. He has scored six goals in eight League games so far this term.

Sassuolo, who also drew 1-1 at Napoli earlier this season, are one point above the relegation zone after 12 matches.
