Domenico Berardi has pulled out of the Italy squad against Bosnia and the Netherlands after picking up an injury for Sassuolo.

The forward had originally been called up for the Nations League matches, set for September 4 and 7, by Italy CT Roberto Mancini.

However, a statement from Sassuolo after today’s training session confirms Berardi will not be fit enough to attend.

Berardi is suffering from a muscular and tendon issue around the soleus muscle in his left leg.
