Ismael Bennacer’s agent is meeting with Milan this afternoon to discuss a new contract, staving off interest from Liverpool, Chelsea Manchester United and Arsenal.

Representative Enzo Raiola was spotted driving into the Casa Milan building today and it follows several days of rumours that the summit was imminent.

The 25-year-old Algeria international is under contract until June 2024 and joined the Rossoneri in the summer of 2019 for €17.2m from Empoli.

He had spent time in the Arsenal youth academy before joining Empoli in 2017, so there were reports of a return to London.

They aren’t the only Premier League side interested in Bennacer, as Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United were also linked.

According to various sources including Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia, the demand is €4m per season plus up to €500,000 in various bonuses.

If no deal is struck, then negotiations are set to continue, because any sale would not be until the summer.

So far this season, Bennacer has contributed one goal and one assist in 21 games for Milan between Serie A and the Champions League.
