The first part of the Italy training camp is completed involving Serie B players, while the second group will begin this afternoon.

Coach Roberto Mancini called the squads for the final get-together of 2022 to see some players who otherwise might not get a look-in for international duty.

They are split into two because Serie B football is still ongoing and their club sides need them back, whereas the second group is from Serie A and abroad, including Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei.

The Serie B group finished two days of training with a game between ranks, which was decided by Modena defender Giorgio Cittadini’s header.

Palermo striker Matteo Brunori went close by hitting the woodwork with an effort from distance.

Italia A: Falcone; Delprato, Cittadini, Dalle Mura, Corrado; Fabbian, Panada (Lipani 46), Boloca; Salcedo (Mulattieri 46), Brunori (Ambrosino 46), Millico
Italia B: Turati (Caprile 46); Pierozzi (Papetti 46), Canestrelli, Varnier, Calafiori; Da Riva, Nicolussi Caviglia, Calligara (Florenzi 46); Oristanio, Bonfanti (Moro 46), Caso

  1. This only a good initiative if the Serie A clubs pick some of these players up and develop them thru their systems rather than looking abroad for players . If not this is only for show with no real intentions .
