Bayern Munich have given the all-clear for Mehdi Benatia to join Juventus on loan with mandatory option to buy, it’s reported.

There were already suggestions this morning that the proposal was being considered and now La Gazzetta dello Sport claim it’s been given the go-ahead.

The former Roma defender is set to join Juventus on loan with mandatory option to buy at the end of the season for a total cost of around €18m.

The Morocco international is 29 years old and left Roma for Munich in 2014 for €28m.

His price-tag has dropped considerably since then, primarily due to injury concerns and a lack of regular playing time.
