Birthday boy Andrea Belotti hopes Torino get Juventus in the Coppa Italia quarter-final after a shock 2-1 victory over Roma.

They conquered the Stadio Olimpico and will go on to face either Juve or Genoa on January 3.

“It was a great game, we booked our passage to the quarter-final and will see who we get. Obviously, the derby would be a fantastic fixture for us, but first we’ll relish and enjoy this victory,” Belotti told Rai Sport.

Vanja Milinkovic-Savic saved an Edin Dzeko penalty, so Patrik Schick’s late goal was unable to overturn Lorenzo De Silvestri and Simone Edera efforts.

It was a great way for Belotti to mark his 24th birthday.

“I had an injury that unfortunately kept me out, but I’ve been playing consistently for a couple of games now and am starting to recapture my fitness.”
