Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick confirms they have ‘decided not to continue’ with Ivan Perisic, so he returns to Inter pending other options.

The 31-year-old Croatia international winger had moved on loan at a cost of €5m with option to buy at the end of the season for €20m.

That was not activated, the clubs tried to negotiate a discount on the transfer fee, but that has now been abandoned.

“We decided not to continue with Alvaro Odriozola, Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Perisic,” Bayern coach Flick told Abdenzeitung.

“As long as David Alaba and Thiago Alcantara are here, I will consider them at our disposal.”

Bayern also released a statement saluting Perisic and thanking him for his efforts during their Treble campaign.

Perisic made 35 competitive appearances for Bayern on their way to the Bundesliga and Champions League trophies.

He scored eight goals and provided 10 assists.

It now remains to be seen whether the Croatian will stay at Inter or be sold on to a new club.
