Lyon goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu has been chosen as Milan’s understudy to Gianluigi Donnarumma, claim Sky Sport Italia.

The 34-year-old Romania international is the replacement for Asmir Begovic, who in turn had come in for Pepe Reina.

Tatarusanu is no stranger to Serie A, as he played for Fiorentina from 2014-17.

He moved on to FC Nantes and joined Olympique Lyonnais as a free agent last summer.

The shot-stopper made only six competitive appearances for Lyon.

The Romanian is expected to have his medical tomorrow.
