Bayern Munich director Hasan Salihamidzic confirms Juventus target Kenan Yildiz ‘will leave.’

The Bianconeri are reportedly leading the race to sign the 17-year-old who has refused to sign a contract extension with the Bavarians. Barcelona have also made their move to sign the versatile attacking midfielder, but the Serie A giants are reportedly closer to finalising the deal.

Bayern director and former Old Lady star Salihamidzic has confirmed that their starlet will leave.

“Yildiz is a young talented player whom we would have liked to keep,” he told Bild.

“However, we couldn’t and didn’t want to meet his financial demands. Therefore, unfortunately, Yildiz will leave us.”

His contract with the Bavarians expired on June 30 and Bayern have no more chances to persuade him to stay.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Yildiz will play in Juventus’ U19 squad (Primavera) if he eventually joins the Bianconeri.

The U17 Turkey international has never made his senior debut with the Bundesliga giants and is now ready to begin a new chapter in his career.

He scored six goals in 20 appearances with Bayern’s U19 squad last season.

  1. He should avoid Juventus and PhD Max’s ancient Latin manuscripts at all costs. Shame it is not working out in Munich as they give chances to youngsters such as Musiala. If he makes the move to Juve, he will follow the same fate as Frabotta, Pellegrini, Coman, Dragusin, Romero, Demiral, Fagioli, Miretti, Ranocchia, Rovella and many more. A proven record of destroying young players.
