Milan are reportedly mulling over the idea of “giving more responsibility” to Franco Baresi after Paolo Maldini’s rejection.

According to Corriere della Sera, chants of ‘there’s only one captain, Franco Baresi’ from Milan fans against Chievo did not go unnoticed by the Rossoneri’s new Chinese owners.

Consequently, general manager Marco Fassone may promote the club’s legendary No 6 from his current marketing role to an executive position, akin to the one offered to Maldini.
