According to FCInterNews, Barella’s agent confirmed as much in today’s meeting with the Nerazzurri.
It is now up to them and Cagliari to work out a deal that suits all parties.
Meanwhile, Tuttomercatoweb and Sportitalia state that Roma have turned towards Veretout instead and are offering Defrel there too, although it would be practically a straight swap.
Both players are valued at €25m, whereas Cagliari slapped a €50m price-tag on Italy international Barella.
Milan and Napoli also want Veretout, the Rossoneri meeting Fiorentina directors today, with Lucas Biglia and Marko Rog proposed as part of an exchange.
