The Blaugrana are already involved with the Bianconeri over the rumoured transfers of Dani Alves and Javier Mascherano, but they may be about to step into a more aggressive negotiation of their own.

According to El Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan club have eyed Sassuolo's Berardi and may interfere with Juventus' attempts to sign him.

The 21-year-old is considered among the most promising Serie A strikers, and most Italian sources believe that the transfer to the Old Lady is a mere formality. Tuttosport reiterates in today's front-page that the deal is virtually done.

The Spanish newspaper, however, insists that Berardi was present in Barcelona personally last week, and that he had some contacts with the Blaugrana directors.

Apparently he is being considered as an option alongside Sevilla's Kevin Gameiro.
