Milan turned down a €30m Barcelona offer for defender Alessio Romagnoli, claim the Corriere dello Sport.

The centre-back only joined a year ago from Roma and as part of that deal the Giallorossi are owed 15 per cent of any future transfer fee.

According to today’s paper, Barcelona told Milan they are prepared to pay €30m for the future Italy international.

However, the Rossoneri transfer market is frozen awaiting the takeover from a Chinese conglomerate.

In any case, Romagnoli is considered to be one of the building blocks for the new team and will not be sold.
