The newspaper reported yesterday how the two clubs were planning to hold transfer talks in the near future, triggered by the Bianconeri’s interest in Arthur.

However, it is warned the Spanish league leaders are ‘reluctant’ to let the midfielder leave and could therefore demand De Ligt in exchange.

MD adds the former Ajax stopper is ‘looking forward’ to potential negotiations and has ‘never hidden his desire’ to play for Barca.

The 20-year-old, who signed for Juve in an €85.5m deal last summer, has made 27 appearances this season, scoring two goals.

With Giorgio Chiellini now 36 and Leonardo Bonucci about to turn 33, he is considered to be their long-term heir in central defence.
