Milan may have made some big summer changes to their squad, but Champions League opponents Barcelona still respect the Diavolo.

After four meetings between the two sides last season, the giants have again been paired with each other in today’s last 16 draw.

“Milan are one of the biggest teams in Europe and a club that must be respected,” Vice-President Josep Maria Bartomeu told reporters in reaction to the pairings in Nyon.

“They are not doing well in their League at the moment, but they have impressive players. We will have a lot of respect and will try to go into that tie in good shape.

“They are not at their best but football changes from week to week. Theirs is a name that frightens, but we will go there with the highest aspirations.”
