Milan man Mario Balotelli says he dreams about playing Manchester City in the Champions League next season.

The Italian left the Premiership giants in January for the Diavolo and he’s hoping for a swift ‘return’ to Manchester.

“We at Milan are trying to qualify for the Champions League directly, without needing the preliminary phase,” he told mcfc.co.uk.

“And I am sure that City also will qualify for the Champions League. I hope to come back to play at the Etihad.

“If that will happen I will come back with love and respect for everyone – club, players and supporters. I would love a Champions League group with Milan and City, it would be great.”

Balotelli added that he’d be in front of the TV screen tonight as City face Manchester rivals United in the Premiership.

“The goal I scored at Old Trafford was a great moment in my career, like the goal I scored for Italy against Germany in the last Euros,” Mario said of the 6-1 win over United last term.

“I am sure me and Nigel De Jong will watch the game – perhaps not together – but we will both be supporting our ex-teammates, the boss and the supporters big time. We want a win.”
