After an unimpressive year on loan at Milan, the 25-year-old is due to return to the Premier League, but Jurgen Klopp's Reds have no intention of taking him back.

Recent reports suggest that Lazio are one of the last teams left with an interest in signing Super Mario. According to LaLazioSiamoNoi, the deal could realistically happen, as the player himself told his closest associates that he would like the Biancocelesti as a destination.

Furthermore, Balotelli was allegedly spotted visiting a villa in the neighbourhood of La Storta, which is very close to the Lazio base at Formello.

The Aquile are after two quality strikers, and Balotelli would be in an ideal position to revamp his career. It also seems likely that he would come across his former Azzurri Coach Cesare Prandelli, too.

Balotelli would join Lazio on a loan deal with an option to buy set at €10m, and contingent on a number of games played, goals scored and disciplinary objectives met. The player would also have to cut his salary from €6m to less than half, unless Liverpool are willing to contribute to a part of the payment.
