Italian media report Manchester City will hand Carlos Tevez to Milan and Mario Balotelli back to Inter next season.

The strikers have hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons in the past few months and it’s claimed City are prepared to part company with both of them.

Tevez had already been on the verge of a transfer to Milan in January, but the Citizens put a stop to it by refusing to accept a loan deal.

The Rossoneri had raised the necessary cash by agreeing to sell Alexandre Pato to Paris Saint-Germain, but when the Brazilian turned down that move, the entire Tevez affair came to an end.

It is widely reported Tevez is going to join Milan in the summer after all with the two clubs on considerably better terms.

Balotelli had also been linked with Milan, as he has never disguised he is a Rossoneri supporter, but the latest reports suggest a return to Inter instead.

SuperMario grew up in the Nerazzurri youth academy and became a star player, but was sold to Manchester City for €22m in August 2010.

Recently he hit headlines yet again for a row on the pitch with teammates and alleged fisticuffs with Yaya Toure in the locker room.

According to the Italian media, Balotelli’s recent surprise trip to the Inter training camp – where he gatecrashed new Coach Andrea Stramaccioni’s presentation press conference – was a sign he wants to come back.

Balotelli could make the move to Inter along with City teammates Aleksandar Kolarov and Nigel De Jong.

It would be a bit of an awkward situation for De Jong to follow Balo to Inter, as this week he said “sometimes Mario is a fool and at other times he is a genius – there are two sides to him.”
